Tuesday, October 22nd at 6:30 pm we will host our LDS neighbors. You may remember they invited our community to join them on July 4th for a pancake breakfast and flag ceremony. We will reciprocate during our Chag/festival during which we are directed to invite the stranger into our Sukkah. Rabbi Phil will explain a little about Sukkot, we will wave the 4 species, sing a few songs, and then enjoy cookies and non-alcoholic drinks together in our Sukkah. 

• ​​​​​​​Antisemitism has been called “the longest hatred.” This program will trace its existence across more than two millennia, considering such issues as: which accusations, myths and stereotypes regarding the Jewish people have presented the greatest danger? what appears to moderate or to exacerbate antisemitism? and as we face yet another surge in the prejudice, what strategies may serve to combat it?

Tools we’ll use: instructions, experience, brain, ladders, muscles, sockets and wrenches a mallet, and patience. Its a fun time and if you find that you’re and extra hand we can just spend the time in community too.  

The holiday of Simchat Torah celebrates the conclusion of our yearly cycle of weekly Torah readings and kicks off the beginning of another cycle of readings in the new year. It's an occasion to sing, dance, and joyfully conclude the High Holiday season.

This year our Erev Simchat Torah program will begin at 5:30pm on Thursday, October 24th at Beit Am. Members of all ages and their guests are welcome to join in!

Celebrate Shabbat in a contemporary style with lots of singing and instrumental music! Our liturgy is a mix of Hebrew and English, and our Torah service highlights selected readings from the weekly parashah. 10:00 am - 12:00 noon

 Approx. 2 hours.

Hebrew class will start at 8:00 pm on Zoom. The course is only 30 minutes.

You do not have to know any Hebrew (spoken or written), but you do need to have the willingness to learn, practice, make mistakes, laugh about it, and persevere.
