Tisha B'Av Program

Body:

The holiday of Tisha B'Av, the Fast of the Ninth of the month of Av, begins Saturday, August 6th, in the evening. Tisha B'Av marks the end of the Three Weeks, a period of mourning during which we remember the series of events that led to the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

Our community program will begin at 7:00pm with a subdued evening ma'ariv service led by Rabbi Phil, followed by a study session on the themes of the day and reading of Eicha (the book of Lamentations). The program will be accessible both in person in the Beit Am sanctuary and over Zoom.

In order to improve our online safety and security, the only way to join our Zoom services and study sessions will be by clicking on the invitation link provided to members in the What's Up.  There is an encrypted password within each link that ensures only invitees are able to join with video and chat functionality.  Please feel free to invite your friends and family using these links! Audio-only participation is still possible by calling (669)900-9128 and entering the Meeting ID number.

See the weekly What's Up for the Zoom link. If you attend on-site, please be sure to sign in at the door so we have a record of your attendance for contact tracing purposes.

If you are not a Beit Am member and would like to participate in the program either in-person or over Zoom, please contact the office at 541-753-0067 or office@beitam.org.
