Yom HaZikaron/Yom Ha'Atzma'ut Program

Please join us this Wednesday May 4th, for an evening of connection as we celebrate Israel’s 74th birthday.

There will be three parts to our program.  First, in alignment with Yom HaZikaron, the Day of Remembrance,  we will call to mind lives lost defending Israel and in terror attacks.

In honor of Yom HaAtzma’ut, Israel’s Independence Day, we will learn about one of Israel’s joyful creations:  the kibbutz.  Our own Nirit Kurman will share the story of Mishmar HaNegev with us.  Founded in 1946, it is still a thriving home for over 1000 people.

The third part of our evening will include connection with Israeli culture—-and each other—-through song and food.

This hybrid offering will begin at 5:30.  We hope you attend in person because it is hard to share falafels and camaraderie through Zoom.
